So I attended a day-long technology event last week at the DC Convention Center sponsored by SCORE. The goal of the program was to “enhance [my] technology knowledge” and get me to “use technology to successfully compete with Fortune 500 companies.” The day was jam packed with sessions on social media, website development, blogging, managing cash flow. . . and the list goes on.

In short, it was amazing. The sessions were great, and I left with lots of new knowledge and some great ideas about next steps. But a true highlight was meeting fellow quilter Jacqueline Bryant Campbell. It’s always nice to connect with another fabric addict. We agreed to stay in touch after the event, and we challenged one another. She committed to start tweeting, and I committed to start blogging. And lo and behold she emailed me today and already has 11 tweets! (Check her out at @JBryantCampbell.)

Where to start?! I have been so focused on blog content and what to write about that I’d forgotten I don’t even know how to get the content onto the website! It didn’t take long for panic to set in. Do I post it in the back end? Or write it somewhere else and link to it? Serious prayer needed.

Anyway, as you can see, I figured it out. I will worry about the next post and how this is monkeying with my homepage later. For now, yay!!! Hettie and I are onward and upward. I’ve made it through Blogging Day 1!
